KARACHI: Six people lost their lives while two others were seriously injured when a speeding mini-truck lost control on Lyari Expressway and fell into Lyari river, Geo News reported Wednesday.
Confirming the toll, Senior Medico-legal Officer Civil Hospital, Dr Aftab Chanar said the dead included 3 childen, 2 women and 2 men while a couple of men were in a critical condition.
Later, both of the injured also breathed their last, pushing the death toll from the tragic accident to eight.
The mini-truck was heading towards Mauripur Road via Lyari Expressway where it veered off due to speeding and feel into the Lyari River after breaking through the safety wall near Garden Area.
