FC troops killing: Will demand reply from Taliban, says Prof Ibrahim

ISLAMABAD: Professor Ibrahim Khan, member of Taliban negotiating team, said on Tuesday that the team will demand an answer from Taliban over the ruthless killing of 23 Frontier Corps (FC) soldiers,
Geo News Reported.

While talking to Geo News, Professor Ibrahim said they are facing difficulties in establishing contact with the Taliban while there are obstacles in communication among their groups as well.

He said the media and masses have raised questions over the Taliban's heinous action of killing 23 detained FC personnel, and the negotiating team will seek a reply from Taliban.

Professor Ibrahim told the team will ask about the dead bodies of the martyred soldiers and the reason of their brutal act during the dialogue Process.

It is pertinent to mention here that TTP Mohmand Agency chapter claimed beheading 23 detained FC men on Sunday night.

Umar Khorasani, in charge of the Mohmand Agency Taliban , claimed that the held FC men were captured from the shonkrai post in June 2010. There was, however, no confirmation or reaction from the government or official TTP spokesman till the filing of this report.

Khorasani claimed the Taliban had been asking the government to stop the alleged killing of their colleagues as the release of prisoners was their basic demand but the government did not listen to them.
